Job summary

AMD is offering a hardware engineering intern/co-op position placed at the center of the AI ecosystem. You will work 40 hours per week in hybrid or onsite settings and collaborate with engineers on discrete and embedded hardware products.

You will be trained to build applications for internal and external use and scalable systems that improve the efficiency of the Hardware organization, with exposure to C/C++, Verilog, VHDL, and ML/AI.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a US university pursuing a Master’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of C/C++, Verilog/VHDL, Python or similar languages, and enthusiasm for hardware design.
• Interest in ASIC/CPU/GPU architecture, ML/AI, and hardware verification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineers on AMD’s discrete and embedded hardware products.
• Train to build applications for internal and external use and scalable systems.
• Assist in hardware automation, validation and test to improve efficiency.
