Job summary

Ascendion is hiring a Hardware Engineer II in Sunnyvale, CA, onsite. You will design and validate electronic hardware, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones and quality targets.

Minimum 3+ years in hardware development and hands-on debugging with lab equipment are required. Strong communication and Python debugging experience are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

• Hands-on debugging with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs).
• Strong collaboration across multiple disciplines and Python debugging experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and validate boards, subsystems, and modules from concept through verification.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teams to meet milestones.
• Assist with component selection, schematic/layout reviews, and design-for-test/manufacturability considerations.

About the role:

• In this role, you will contribute to the design, validation, and documentation of hardware components and systems, partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality results within defined timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and validate electronic hardware (e.g., boards, subsystems, modules) from concept through verification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, quality) to support program milestones and deliverables.
• Assist with component selection, schematic/layout reviews, and design-for-test/manufacturability considerations as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with hardware development and lab-based debugging (e.g., use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, Digital Multimeters [DMMs], power supplies).
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Python debugging

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior FAANG/Big Tech

Location: Sunnyvale, CA [Onsite]

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $124,800 - $185,120 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
