Job summary

Ascendion in Sunnyvale, CA is hiring a Hardware Engineer II to support hardware development initiatives. You will help design, validate, and document hardware components and systems, partnering with electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver high-quality results on schedule.

The role requires hands-on hardware development and lab debugging with instruments, plus strong cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

• The company is seeking a Hardware Engineer to support hardware development initiatives.
• In this role, you will contribute to the design, validation, and documentation of hardware components and systems, partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality results within defined timelines.

Job Title: Hardware Engineer II

Minimum Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with hardware development and laboratory-based debugging, including the use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, digital multimeters (DMMs), and power supplies.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the design, bring-up, and validation of electronic hardware, including boards, subsystems, and modules, from concept through verification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teams, to support program milestones and deliverables.
• Assist with component selection, schematic and layout reviews, and design-for-test and design-for-manufacturability considerations as needed.

Location: Sunnyvale, CA [5 Days Onsite]

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $126,800 – $176,800 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
