Job summary

Peraton Labs delivers innovative solutions to government agencies and commercial customers and seeks a Hardware Engineer to architect, develop, and test modular software tools for emulating cyber-physical systems.

You will work in a lab with test equipment, characterize hardware, and contribute to platform development across multiple projects, ensuring rigorous testing and integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering/science discipline or equivalent
• US Citizenship required and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
• Experience with rapid prototype solutions using COTS and custom designs
• Experience extending and customizing emulation frameworks (e.g., QEMU) in C/C++ and Python

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, implement, and test modular software applications and tools for emulating cyber-physical systems
• Characterize and debug complex electronic systems in a lab environment
• Lead development of lab-based acquisition and control platforms
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and hardware-software integration
• Prepare technical input for proposals including path, BOM, and schedules
