Job summary

Jobot is seeking a detail-oriented Hardware Engineer to support hardware documentation, CAD development, and configuration management in a highly regulated environment in Gaithersburg, MD. You will work on system-level drawings, BOM updates, and prototyping activities.

The role emphasizes AutoCAD proficiency, documentation discipline, and collaboration with engineering teams to maintain accurate records and support mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience with AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and engineering change processes (ECNs/ECRs).
• Experience with Visio and structured technical documentation.
• Experience in regulated or mission-critical environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify CAD drawings including system drawings, rack elevations, and cabling diagrams.
• Develop drawing packages from system docs, inputs, parts lists, and vendor docs.
• Prepare and maintain drawing standards for program releases.
• Manage revisions to engineering drawings and BOM updates; support ECN/ECR workflows.
• Assist with hardware design, prototyping, and documentation control in regulated environments.
