Job summary

Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Hardware Engineer in San Jose, CA to support enterprise networking and cloud solutions. The role involves designing silicon, optics, and hardware platforms for core Switching, Routing, and Wireless products and collaborating across enterprise, service provider, public sector, and nonprofit customers.

Responsibilities include hardware board circuit design, high-speed SerDes interfaces, and analysis using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related degree.
• 6+ years of experience in hardware board circuit and system design, troubleshooting, or failure analysis.
• Experience with high-speed signals using SerDes/serial transmission technologies.

We design the networking hardware for Enterprises and Service Providers of various sizes, the Public Sector, and Non-Profit Organizations across the world.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related degree
• 6+ years of experience in hardware board circuit and system design, troubleshooting, or failure analysis
• Experience designing for high-speed signals using SerDes/serial transmission technologies
• Experience with electrical diagnostics and measurement equipment, including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, and network traffic generators such as Ixia and Spirent

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with Python, Perl, or similar scripting and execution languages
• Good understanding of control interfaces such as PCIe, MDIO, SPI, and I2C

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
