Base pay range

$65.00/hr - $85.00/hr

Roc Search is currently working with a leading technology organization that is looking for an Hardware / Embedded Systems Engineer to join their team.

We are looking for a Hardware / Embedded Systems Engineer with expertise in small form factor hardware design, FPGA development, and embedded software engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience in sensor integration, video/audio system design, and embedded security.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and optimize small form factor boards, FPGAs, and custom small chip solutions.
2. Develop and integrate video, audio, and multiple sensor systems, ensuring communication integrity.
3. Build structured embedded systems using bare metal and RTOS.
4. Develop low-footprint Peer-to-Peer decentralized systems with a focus on security.
5. Work on OS driver development (Windows/Linux), including wireless adapter drivers and kernel-level optimizations.
6. Optimize ML models for embedded hardware (TinyML, NPU design, HW-aware training).
7. Implement embedded security solutions, wireless protocol stacks, and hardware communication protocols.

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years of experience in hardware design, embedded software, or related fields.
2. Strong background in FPGA design, small chip development, and sensor systems.
3. Proficiency in C/C++, Python, or assembly for embedded programming.
4. Experience in RTOS, control systems, and high-availability system design.
5. Knowledge of ML hardware optimization, cryptographic protocols, and wireless communication.
6. Familiarity with CI/CD for embedded systems and fault-tolerant architecture.
