Job summary

LCS Defense seeks a Hardware Development Engineer to lead end-to-end design of next-generation hardware for network security systems. You will own architecture, schematic development, PCB layout, and validation of complex, high-speed digital systems in a rigorous lab environment.

Role requires a BS in EE, 10+ years of experience, and current US Secret clearance or above. Collaboration with software and FPGA teams is essential, with design reviews and NPI coordination across multiple locations.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10+ years hardware engineering experience.
  • Motherboard/PCB design including schematic capture, stackup, and layout.
  • FPGA SoC hardware integration, validation, and debugging.
  • DFx experience (design for cost, test, manufacturing).
  • Current active US Secret clearance or above.

Responsibilities

  • Design complex PCBs incorporating FPGA SoCs (AMD/Intel platforms).
  • Develop and validate high-speed digital and mixed-signal circuits.
  • Support system-level hardware architecture decisions.
  • Coordinate with contract manufacturers on NPI processes.
  • Ensure EMI/EMC compliance, thermal, and signal integrity requirements.
  • Partner with FPGA/firmware teams on hardware interface definition.
  • Participate in design reviews.

Hardware Development Engineer (PCB) - (Multiple locations)

Role Summary
Hardware development engineer to support the design and development of next-generation cloud infrastructure hardware, including complex PCBA designs with FPGA SoCs. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of hardware, software, and FPGA engineers in a dedicated product development lab.

Responsibilities
  • Design complex PCBs incorporating FPGA SoCs (AMD/Intel platforms)

  • Support system-level hardware architecture decisions
