Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer to contribute to the design, validation, and optimization of consumer hardware products.

You will work with Senior Electrical Engineers on projects from concept through production and support high-volume manufacturing. Standard duties include schematic design, hardware validation, and developing automated test tools, with travel to support engineering builds across locations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields
  • Knowledge of material and manufacturing methods
  • Knowledge of schematic design and debug skills
  • Experience in 3D CAD
  • Experience in analog and digital skills with embedded systems
  • Experience in embedded systems projects
  • Are enrolled in or have completed an academic program that is physically located in the United States
  • Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities

As a hardware engineer, you will be part of a project team you will work alongside Senior Electrical Engineers; supporting the design, debug, validation and optimization of the products. You will be involved in projects from concept through production, gaining exposure to the complete design lifecycle. You will also support engineering builds gaining experience with high volume manufacturing.

Key job responsibilities

As a hardware engineer you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive and design innovative consumer products. You will work closely with an internal inter-disciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and test. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

Basic Qualifications

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
