Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Hardware Design Engineer to join an inventive team developing next-generation 6G prototype platforms and high-performance hardware modules. You will drive schematic capture, manage BOMs, and oversee PCB layout from concept to lab validation.

The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, debugging prototype hardware, and documenting validation reports. This is a full-time on-site position in a dynamic hardware engineering group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 1–2 years of hardware engineering or related product-development work experience.
• Experience using lab test equipment to isolate and troubleshoot hardware issues.
• Fundamental knowledge of high-speed digital board design Principles, including impedance control, crosstalk, and power delivery.

Responsibilities

• Drive schematic capture, select hardware components, and manage complex BOMs for multi-layer digital designs.
• Oversee and participate in physical PCB layout, ensuring high-speed routing rules and constraints.
• Perform physical board bring-up, debugging, and functional characterization of prototype hardware.
• Collaborate with Signal Integrity and Power Integrity teams to optimize layout topologies for high-speed buses.
• Document test plans, validation reports, and hardware ECOs.
