Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in San Diego seeks a seasoned hardware PCB designer to develop reference IOT and compute PCBs, handling high-speed layouts and complex stack-ups.

You will collaborate with IOT PDM, PM and engineering teams, work with suppliers, and drive design reviews from concept through fabrication, ensuring DFx and EMI mitigation. Required 6+ years in PCB design, HDI, RF/Analog, and proficiency with Mentor Xpedition, Altium, or Cadence Allegro.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 4+ years hardware PCB design experience.
• Experience designing reference and consumer PCBs for high-speed applications.
• Proficient with EMI mitigation techniques and PCB fabrication processes.
• Experience with DFMA analysis and CAM software.
• Familiar with IOT interfaces and HDI/high-density packaging.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout PCBs for reference IOT & compute systems.
• Engineer high-speed multi-layer stack-ups including RF, power delivery, and digital circuits.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support PCB fabrication and assembly.
• Support fabrication and assembly, participate in design reviews, and ensure DFx compliance.
• Communicate milestones and present design reviews to project teams.
