Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC's AMZL Innovation and Design Engineering team is seeking a hardware development engineer to lead mechatronic product development for delivery stations. You will define requirements, design verification plans, and manage end-to-end hardware projects from ideation to on-site implementation.

The role requires 3+ years in mechanical engineering, strong prototyping experience, and fluency in English, with opportunities to work with simulation tools and AI/ML-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with prototyping and implementation.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end equipment technology development from ideation to on-site implementation.
• Write requirements, specifications, test procedures.
• Collect customer needs from field deployments to propose enhancements.
• Influence decisions with data from technology tests and validation plans.
• Define and track project timelines and budgets.
• Conduct progress reviews and reporting.
• Collaborate with simulations to validate ideas and optimize workflows.
• Lead scalability discussions with cross-functional teams.
