Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an electrical engineer to drive server motherboard design, schematics capture, layout checks, and testing for enterprise networking products. You will collaborate with engineering and other teams to ensure quality and performance, while preparing specifications, layout instructions, and test procedures.

Responsibilities include transferring products to manufacturing with documentation, providing technical support, and mentoring junior engineers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with relevant experience
• Experience with x86 server boards is a plus
• Strong circuit design knowledge across digital, analog, and power
• Experience with motherboard design for enterprise servers

Responsibilities

• Capture schematics, perform layout checks, create BOMs, debug and test server boards
• Modify designs to improve board quality

• Ensure conformance to specifications, regulations, and customer expectations

Job description

Responsibilities

• Responsible for schematics capture, layout checking, BOM creation, debugging, and testing of server board/add-on card products
• Modify and enhance existing designs to improve the quality of server motherboards
• Collaborate with engineering and other teams to discover and resolve any engineering issues in early stage to ensure the quality and performance of the products reach its full capacity
• Prepare technical documentation including product specifications, layout instructions, test procedures, etc.
• Ensure products conform to engineering specification, regulatory, and customer expectations
• Transfer products to manufacturing with clear documentation and provide technical support to solve product problems
• Provide clear documentation and strong technical support to contract manufacturers and production department during the product sample and production stages
• Provide necessary mentorship to young engineers in the team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years experience or Master's degree with 1 year experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with x86 server boards is a plus
• In-depth knowledge of circuit design (digital, analog, power) and PCB layout
• Prior experience with motherboard design in enterprise networking servers is strongly desired
• Strong communication, written, oral, and interpersonal skills
• Must have the ability to work well with cross functional teams effectively
• Excellent organizational skills and problem solving capability
