Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. seeks a Deployed Engineer to support delivery, integration, and customer adoption of software-enabled products like virtual flatsats and EGSE test racks. This is a hands-on, travel-friendly role working directly with customers in high-stakes environments.

You will be the primary software interface for customers, coordinating with internal teams to ensure seamless tool deployment and operation across flight and ground software contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field as listed.
• Strong software engineering background with product experience.
• Experience troubleshooting complex technical systems in various environments.
• Ability to support software compatibility across flight/ground software and tools.
• Experience with Linux, Python, C/C++, networking, test automation, APIs.
• Ability to read and support ICDs, system diagrams, test procedures, documentation.
• Excellent customer-facing communication; explain technical issues clearly.
• Comfortable in ambiguous, fast-moving environments; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical software interface for customers across Apex vehicles and integration environments.
• Provide day-to-day software support for customers in lab, integration, production, and field settings.
• Support compatibility between flight software, ground software, and test tools.
• Help customers bring Apex-provided tools online and answer technical questions.
• Coordinate with internal engineering teams to resolve software and system-level issues.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to deploy and support solutions.
• Help define deployed engineering processes and operating models for scalability.
