Southern Landscape Group, Inc. is seeking a Hardscape Team Technician to support high-end landscape design/build projects in Central Virginia. The role covers pavement systems, retaining walls, water features, lighting, drainage, and more, using a variety of equipment. You will work outdoors with a team to deliver quality results.

The position is hourly with a standard schedule, requiring strong communication, problem solving, and teamwork to ensure client satisfaction and project success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with two years of green industry experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use Apple technology for time tracking and job management.

Responsibilities

• Review job notes for scope of work daily.
• Read, measure, and interpret landscape, architectural, and civil plans.
• Install and maintain landscape beds; prune trees/shrubs; seasonal irrigation work.
• Install water features and low-voltage lighting; program controllers.
• Install drainage, excavate and grade soil; install pavers and retaining walls.
• Operate equipment safely; perform snow removal as needed.
• Ensure job site safety and cleanliness; maintain tools and vehicles.
