Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in hardscape and masonry construction
• Experience installing retaining walls, patios, walkways, and outdoor kitchens
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work long hours on your feet
• Strong leadership skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficiency with basic computer software and job documentation
• Valid driver’s license required
• CDL license preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the installation of paver patios and walkways, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens and masonry features
• Supervise, train, and motivate crew members on job sites
• Read and interpret plans; layout work using string lines and transits
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment
• Operate equipment including skid loaders, backhoes, plate compactors, saws, demolition tools and compactors
• Load, move, and transport materials using manual labor and machinery
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management
• Follow direction from Operations Management and Project Estimator
• Enforce safety standards and best practices at all times

Summary:

Halter Landscaping Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivatedHardscape Foreman to lead field crews in the construction of high-quality outdoor living spaces. This is a hands‑on leadership role ideal for a skilled hardscape professional with strong technical knowledge and the ability to mentor and manage a crew.

The Hardscape Foreman is responsible for overseeing all aspects of hardscape and masonry projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards.

Reports To:

Operations Management and Project Estimator

Responsibilities:

• Lead and participate in the installation of:
  • Paver patios and walkways
  • Retaining walls (stone and block)
  • Outdoor kitchens and masonry features
• Supervise, train, and motivate crew members on job sites
• Read and interpret plans; layout work using string lines and transits
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment
• Operate equipment including skid loaders, backhoes, plate compactors, saws, demolition tools, and compactors
• Operate automatic vehicles including dump trucks and truck/trailer combinations
• Load, move, and transport materials using manual labor and machinery
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and management
• Follow direction from Operations Management and Project Estimator
• Enforce safety standards and best practices at all times

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in hardscape and masonry construction
• Proven knowledge of hardscape installation methods and materials
• Experience installing retaining walls, patios, walkways, and outdoor kitchens
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work long hours on your feet
• Strong leadership skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
