Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Valleys is seeking a Merchandise Processor to sort donations into sellable, salvage, or trash categories and price merchandise using baseline guides. You will help stock shelves, rotate apparel, and ensure quality standards.

You will interact with donors and customers delivering world-class service, maintain a neat processing area, and support continuous improvement by staying current with trends and price points.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with managers, team members, customers, and donors.

Responsibilities

• Sort donations into sellable, salvage or trash categories.
• Price merchandise using baseline price guides; mark-up special priced items of exceptional value.
• Provide quality assurance by checking for tears, stains, wet, smelly, soiled, broken zippers, missing buttons.
• Consistently meet production goals.
• Ensure a positive donor and customer interaction by providing world class customer service.
• Maintain processing and pricing area in a neat and clean condition.
• Identify the value of items and assist with floor rotation of apparel as needed.
• Transport merchandise throughout the facility and stock shelves, display, and rotate merchandise.
