Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Valleys is seeking a Merchandise Processor to sort donations into sellable or salvage categories, price items, and keep processing areas tidy. You will help rotate stock, stage displays, and assist customers with a friendly, professional approach.

Responsibilities include quality checks, tagging, and ensuring items move to sales floor promptly while upholding safety, security, and donor relations standards across the center.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Sort donations into sellable, salvage or trash categories.
• Price merchandise using baseline price guides; mark-up special priced items of exceptional value.
• Provide quality assurance by checking for tears, stains, wet, smelly, soiled, broken zippers, missing buttons.
• Consistently meet production goals.
• Ensures a positive donor and customer interaction by providing world class customer service.
• Maintain processing and pricing area in a neat and clean condition.
• Identify potential e-commerce items and set aside for manager approval.
• Preplan for adequate supply of donated goods by notifying manager on duty when merchandise is low.
• Follows safety and security practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the Manager on Duty.
• Attends in-service related training as assigned.
