Job summary

Momentive is seeking a Summer 2027 Intern for Hardcoat Research & Development in New York. The intern will support NPI programs, develop structure-property knowledge, and investigate formulation effects on coating performance for polycarbonate and metal substrates.

The role emphasizes documentation, data analysis, and standardization of developmental data across hardcoat platforms, with a 40-hour work week for 10–12 weeks between May and August.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program (May-August internship).
• Comfort working in wet chemistry lab and in physical property testing.
• Experience with coating processes or polymer chemistry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support development of Hardcoat Next Generation Platforms.
• Investigate effects of formulation and processing changes on hardcoat performance.
• Document and standardize developmental data for hardcoat programs.
• Contribute to characterization of chemistry, adhesion, and appearance of coatings.
