Job summary

Brunswick Corporation’s Freedom Boat Club in Clarks Hill, GA is seeking a part-time Dock Master to greet members, assist on the docks, and ensure vessel readiness. You’ll work outdoors by the water, with our fleet, and help with check-in/out using handheld tablets.

This role requires availability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays, and includes safety and customer-service responsibilities in a marina environment. $13.00 hourly, with Brunswick benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to regularly complete the physical demands of the role including bending, kneeling, balancing and carrying equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets.
• Availability to regularly work weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to adhere to all safety policies.
• Experience in or around boats is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette.
• Manage the check-in and check-out process using a handheld tablet.
• Perform equipment checks to ensure vessels are functional on board.
• Clean and maintain vessels and Club location according to standards.
• Complete daily clerical work for reservations, logs and weather reports.
• Familiarize yourself with local waters to provide basic guidance to members.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
