Ace Handyman Lake Norman is seeking a skilled Handyman/Craftsman to join our team. You’ll focus on high-quality home repairs while we handle scheduling, billing, and customer service.

You will travel to residential and light commercial sites, explain options to customers, perform tasks safely, document work in our app, and log hours for accurate payroll. A vehicle and tools are required.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of paid experience in home maintenance, remodeling, carpentry, or a related trade.
• Your own standard set of hand and power tools appropriate for general home repairs.
• A valid driver's license and a reliable, active work vehicle (truck, van, or large SUV).
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical repairs to customers in plain language.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of home maintenance and repairs, including light carpentry, drywall patching, door and window adjustments, trim work, and basic tiling.
• Complete minor plumbing and electrical tasks, such as replacing a faucet, installing a ceiling fan, or updating light fixtures.
• Evaluate projects on-site, discuss options with the customer, and adjust the scope of work if unexpected issues arise.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at every job site.
• Use our digital platform to view your daily schedule, track job details, and upload photos of completed work.

What Success Looks Like

On a day-to-day basis, you will travel to residential and light commercial jobsites to complete a variety of small-to-medium home repairs and improvements. You will walk the customer through the project, explain your process, complete the work safely, and clean up the work area when you are finished. You will also use our mobile app to document your progress and log your hours.

Over time, success in this role means building trust within our local community. You will become the go-to expert our clients ask for by name. You will help us maintain our reputation for reliability, quality, and respectful service by consistently completing projects on time and to the customer's satisfaction.
