Ideal candidates have 2+ years of handyman experience, basic trade skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. A practical test and written assessment are required as part of the application process.

Qualifications

• 2 years of prior handyman experience.
• If you do not hold a High School Diploma or GED, we consider substitution of a minimum of three years of experience in skilled trade work as a handyman at a residential building.

Responsibilities

• General plumbing repairs such as toilets, faucets, and minor leaks.

• Maintenance and upkeep of cooling towers and boilers, as well as assisting in repairs of heating and HVAC systems.
• Assist in snow removal on sidewalks and driveways.

Position Overview:

This position is primarily responsible for performing general maintenance tasks on a daily basis that include, but are not limited to the following duties.

• General plumbing repairs such as toilets, faucets, and minor leaks.
• Repair and replace general hardware such as doors, doorknobs, locks, and broken tiles.
• Minor cosmetic updates to apartments, entrances, and common areas such as painting, plaster, sanding, and wallpaper installation.
