GDI, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Madison, WI to perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance and repairs across office, warehouse and outdoor environments. You will inspect equipment, maintain records, stock supplies and support safety initiatives.

Qualifications include 1+ year maintenance experience, strong problem-solving, communication and organizational skills, and ability to work independently. English reading/writing required; bilingual a plus.

Shifts Available

Tuesday - Saturday @ 12:00PM - 8:30PM

Essential Duties

• Routine inspection and testing of equipment and machinery to ensure everything is up to standard
• Plan and schedule maintenance repairs
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels)
• Perform routine maintenance around building
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures
• Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry
• Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies

Qualifications

• 1or more plus years related experience
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Effective problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Able to multi-task
• Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
• Ability to show judgment and to work independently.
• High integrity and discretion required.

Language Skills

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.

Physical Demands

Ability to lift 30-50 lbs.; Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time; Ability to stoop, reach, push, pull & bend often.
