Job summary

UG2 is seeking a handyperson to perform maintenance and repair tasks across the facility under supervision. This role requires strong technical skills, problem solving, and the ability to work independently while delivering quality customer service.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of related experience, can handle locks, plumbing, furniture assembly, and general upkeep, and are comfortable working evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of related customer service and/or facility services experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to travel to different clients' sites and perform general maintenance.
• Handle multiple projects and tasks with a high attention to detail.
• Must be able to work in a fast pace environment.

Major Function

The Handyperson, under the direction of the Supervisor or Manager, is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks across different areas of a facility. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems, and the capacity to work independently. Quality customer service skills are essential.

Job Responsibilities

• Repairing and installing locks.
• Some plumbing duties.
• Assembly of furniture and hanging of pictures.
• Great people's skills.
• Must be able to work unsupervised.
• Some porter work as needed.
• Weekly meetings with facility manager to review various projects.
• Maintenance and facility repair.
• Attend to members of staff promptly when called upon.
• Safety and security awareness.
• Other routine maintenance duties as assigned.
