Pacific Recycling is seeking a Klamath Falls Yard Manager to lead daily yard operations, supervise the team, and ensure safe, efficient material handling. The role blends hands-on work with leadership responsibilities in a small yard environment.

The candidate will oversee loading/unloading, coordinate shipments, and collaborate with the Eugene team on transportation and scale activities. A valid driving record and willingness to work outdoors are required.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Experience in scrap metal, recycling, industrial, warehouse, transportation, construction, or a similar environment preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues.
• Willingness to perform physical, hands-on yard work and operate equipment as needed.
• Comfortable working outdoors around heavy equipment and trucks.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsabilités

• Work alongside and supervise yard employees, assigning daily work and establishing priorities.
• Lead by example and participate directly in day-to-day yard operations.
• Ensure the yard operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company expectations.
• Oversee material movement, loading, unloading, storage, and shipment preparation.
• Coordinate outbound shipments and transportation needs with the Eugene transportation team.
• Work closely with the Scale Manager to coordinate yard, scale, and driver activities.
• Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day operational issues and take ownership of resolving problems.
• Provide coaching and feedback, conduct performance reviews, and address employee performance and attendance issues.
• Communicate significant staffing, safety, equipment, customer, and operational issues to the Eugene Yard Manager.
• Monitor yard equipment, housekeeping, and overall organization.
• Promote a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment.
