Job summary

The White City Yard Manager at Pacific Recycling leads the White City feeder yard, supervising yard employees and coordinating material movement, outbound shipments, and daily operations. This hands-on role blends leadership with active yard work, forklift operation, and shipment preparation.

You will set priorities, coach the team, enforce safety, and collaborate with the Eugene transportation team to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team or supervising employees.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues.
• Willingness to perform physical, hands-on yard work around equipment.
• Comfortable working outdoors around heavy equipment and trucks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise White City yard employees and assign daily work.
• Lead by example in day-to-day yard operations.
• Ensure safe, efficient yard operations per company standards.
• Oversee material movement, loading, unloading, storage, and shipment prep.
• Coordinate outbound shipments with the Eugene transportation team.
• Collaborate with the White City Scale Manager on yard, scale, and driver activities.
• Own day-to-day operational issues and resolve problems.
• Provide coaching, conduct performance reviews, address attendance issues.
• Report staffing, safety, equipment, customer, and operational concerns to the Eugene Yard Manager.
• Monitor yard equipment, housekeeping, and overall organization.
• Foster a positive, accountable, safety-focused work environment.
