Pacific Recycling, Inc. is seeking a White City Yard Manager to lead the day-to-day operations at the White City feeder yard. The role combines hands-on work with supervisory duties, coordinating material movement, loading, and outbound shipments while guiding the yard team.

You will spend substantial time operating alongside yard staff, maintaining safety, efficiency, and alignment with company policies. Strong leadership and hands-on problem solving are essential in this small yard environment.

Qualifikationen

• Leadership experience supervising yard staff and coordinating daily priorities.
• Experience in scrap metal, recycling, industrial, warehouse, or transportation environments preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues; hands-on yard work.

Aufgaben

• Work alongside and supervise White City yard employees, assigning daily work and establishing priorities.
• Lead by example and participate directly in day-to-day yard operations.
• Ensure the yard operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company expectations.
• Oversee material movement, loading, unloading, storage, and shipment preparation.
• Coordinate outbound shipments and transportation needs with the Eugene transportation team.
• Work closely with the White City Scale Manager to coordinate yard, scale, and driver activities.
• Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day operational issues and take ownership of resolving problems.
• Provide coaching and feedback, conduct performance reviews, and address employee performance and attendance issues.
• Communicate significant staffing, safety, equipment, customer, and operational issues to the Eugene Yard Manager.
• Monitor yard equipment, housekeeping, and overall organization.
• Promote a positive, accountable, and safety-focused work environment.
