Job summary

Philadelphia Technician Training Institute (PTTI) seeks an experienced Welding Instructor to deliver high-quality classroom and hands-on shop training. You will prepare students for entry-level employment by teaching core welding processes, blueprint reading, metal fabrication, safety practices, and professional conduct.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on industry experience, strong technical knowledge, and a passion for teaching adult learners in a trades-focused program.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of verifiable industry experience in welding, fabrication, and structural welding.
• Strong knowledge of multiple welding processes (SMAW, MIG, FCAW; TIG preferred) and welding safety standards.
• Ability to teach both lecture and hands-on technical instruction to adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and hands-on shop instruction in accordance with approved curriculum and learning objectives.
• Teach welding concepts including safety, blueprint reading, pipe and structural welding.
• Supervise students during lab activities and ensure safe practices at all times.
• Monitor progress via practical demonstrations, exams, and performance assessments.
