Job summary

Veloz is hiring a hands-on Warehouse Team Lead to support daily operations at a Stockton, CA facility. This role blends leadership with hands-on tasks like unloading freight and coordinating the team on a fast-paced 4-day, 10-hour shift.

You will train new associates, serve as a key link between employees and management, and help keep safety, productivity and quality at the forefront of daily operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of warehouse experience.
• 6+ months of team lead, leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Experience unloading trailers or doing manual warehouse labor (strongly preferred).
• Strong work ethic and the ability to lead by example.
• Reliable attendance and availability for a consistent 4-day schedule.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Forklift or other equipment experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Unload trailers, move freight, stage product and handle other general warehouse tasks.
• Lead by example in productivity, safety, attendance and work quality.
• Give associates daily direction, support and coaching.
• Set and keep a productive pace throughout the shift.
• Keep management updated on operations, productivity, staffing and any issues.
• Help train and onboard new warehouse employees.
• Make sure safety procedures, policies and operating standards are followed.
• Help keep the work area clean, organized and safe.
• Flag freight concerns, operational issues and process inefficiencies to management.
• Support inventory accuracy, proper freight handling and smooth warehouse flow.
• Help management put process improvements in place.
• Promote a positive, respectful, team-oriented environment.
