Job summary

IsoTalent is representing a client in Utah County, UT seeking a hands-on VP of Engineering to rebuild and grow a software platform team. You will own technical strategy, architecture, and delivery while leading .NET modernization with a TypeScript, Python, and React stack.

You will recruit and mentor engineers toward fast, high-quality delivery, sit on the leadership team, and guide the team's use of AI development tools in a hybrid, full-time role.

Qualifications

12+ years in software engineering with 5+ years leading teams
Hands-on and ready to pass coding and system design assessments
Experience modernizing established platforms while shipping features
Based in Utah with a local tech network

Responsibilities

Own technical strategy, architecture, and delivery
Lead .NET modernization alongside TypeScript, Python, and React stack; make build-vs-buy and vendor decisions
Recruit and mentor engineers to grow a 15–20 engineer team
Sit on the leadership team and lead AI development tooling usage
