Job summary

Guzzler Manufacturing in Illinois seeks a skilled mechanic to service and repair vacuum trucks and other heavy equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, perform welding and fabrication, and follow technical instructions from blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities include operating cranes and forklifts, entering job data into the system, ordering parts, and upholding OSHA safety policies. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical assembly experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, hydraulic schematics, diagrams and work instructions.
• Strong ability in electrical, hydraulic and mechanical applications.
• Willingness to work overtime when requested.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair vacuum trucks and other heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot and evaluate mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Perform welding and fabrication (mig, stick, plasma, torch cutting).
• Read and follow technical instructions (blueprints, diagrams).
• Operate crane, hoist, forklift, and hand tools as required.
• Enter jobs into computer system and communicate updates to Supervisor.
• Order parts and maintain safety compliance with OSHA policies.
