Job summary

Whalen Group Executive Search seeks a hands-on Transmission Test Engineer to develop and optimize dynamometer testing for GM transmissions. The role focuses on validating remanufactured units to OEM specs, analyzing data, and troubleshooting equipment to improve testing processes.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with transmissions and dynamometer systems, plus knowledge of PPAP/ISO/IATF standards. This position offers a practical, results-driven environment in the TX market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with transmission testing and dynamometer systems.
• Experience with GM transmissions (10L80, 10L90, 6L80, 6L90, or similar).
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
• Experience with LabVIEW, PLCs, SQL, or data acquisition systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of PPAP, ISO/IATF standards, and transmission remanufacturing is preferred.
