Job summary

Honeywell International Inc. is seeking an Advanced Application Engineer- Trainer to enable internal teams to support, develop, integrate, and troubleshoot Honeywell Multisite products.

You will translate refrigeration and building automation concepts into practical learning experiences while reporting to the Multisite Engineering Manager. You will design hands-on training, coach teams through pilots, and develop clear instructional materials.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of refrigeration or building automation controls experience with hands-on programming, installation, and troubleshooting to teach others.
• 4+ years of ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and adapt instruction for learners of different levels.
• 4+ years of excellent written and verbal communication skills, including creating technical instructions, presentations, videos, or other learning materials.
• 4+ years of experience teaching, mentoring, or coaching technical audiences via tutoring, classes, or hands-on demos.

Responsibilities

• Train internal teams to develop site-level applications for refrigeration and building automation.
• Teach integration of Honeywell and third-party equipment into Tridium Niagara-based software.
• Create hands-on learning activities to install, configure, and test applications.
• Lead technical deep dives and guided troubleshooting to build team capability.
• Read and apply architectural, electrical, and mechanical drawings for accurate design, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Translate MEP design requirements into site-specific applications with minimal programming.
• Collaborate with RD&E/Programming teams, Offering Management, and HBOC to identify training needs and content.
• Coach through pilot installations, initial programming, and handoffs of Multisite applications.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting methods for HVAC, refrigeration, and automation systems in real scenarios.
• Develop learning resources: instructions, user guides, bulletins, videos, demonstrations, and examples.
• Deliver instruction via tutoring, classes, virtual sessions, videos, and written materials; gather feedback to improve the program.
