Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Trade Shop Apprentice to support maintenance, repair, and improvement across University Housing facilities. You will work under HVAC, electricians, masons, painters and other trades professionals to gain hands-on experience and progressively develop skills in multiple trades in a 24/7 residential environment.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, is scheduled Monday–Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EPA 608 Certification required within a year of starting.

Responsibilities

• Install or repair thermostats, motors, circuits, and lighting fixtures.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC and electrical equipment.
• Complete work requests using the web-based system and document work.
