Job summary

LeClaire Manufacturing Co. is seeking a skilled Patternmaker/Tooling & Fixture Maker for the Bettendorf, IA area. You will build, modify, and maintain complex steel dies and fixtures, and design machining fixtures on the shop floor.

This role rewards hands-on craftsmanship and ownership of end-to-end tooling builds. The position emphasizes reading complex prints, layout, and precise fitting, with collaboration across programming, machining, and production teams to ensure tooling production

Qualifications

• Patternmaking, die, or tool-and-fixture experience or strong hands-on ability.
• Hands-on craftsmanship with the drive to master complex tooling.
• Able to read and work from complex prints, models, and castings.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and maintain complex steel dies and casting tooling.
• Design and fabricate machining fixtures and workholding.
• Work hands-on on the floor: layout, fitting, machining, assembly, and rework.
• Solve tooling and fixturing problems end-to-end.
• Collaborate with programming, machining, and production teams to ready tooling.
• Maintain and improve patterns, dies, and fixtures over their life cycle.
