Job summary

Bingham & Taylor Manufacturing is seeking a Pattern Maker Machinist to create new tooling (foundry patterns and core boxes) by machining to drawings from the design engineer. You will also repair and modify existing tooling, set up CNC machines, and support tooling for injection molding and extrusion tooling.

The role calls for proactive problem-solving to enhance efficiency while meeting safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of machining experience with Foundry tooling.
Proficient in manual machining using lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinders.
Proficient in setting and operating CNC is a plus.
Working experience with 3D scanner and 3D printer is plus.
Experience with injection molding, blow molding and extrusion tooling is plus.
Understanding of new additive manufacturing like 3D printing and 3D Scanning for tooling is preferred.

Responsibilities

Make new tooling (Foundry Patterns and Core Box) by machining different material using manual equipment.
Perform regular repairs and modifications on existing tooling.
Set and run CNC machining equipment.
Support tooling repair and modification for Injection molding and blow moldings tools.
Assemble pattern sections using hand tools, bolts, screws, rivets, glue, or welding equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints or drawings and compute dimensions.
Set up and operate machine tools to machine castings or patterns.
Verify conformance of patterns to specifications using calipers, scales, and micrometers.
