Job summary

Seats Incorporated in Iowa seeks a Machinist/Tool & Die Technician to assess tooling and stamping dies, interpret blueprints, and sketch out work to build tools and fixtures.

You will install dies, operate machine tools, read gauges, and perform preventive maintenance while working independently with good judgment. Eligible candidates possess relevant training and strong repair skills, with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year technical degree or relevant work experience.
• Ability to diagnose damaged tooling and stamping dies to determine solution.
• Read blue prints and interpret blueprints for new parts.
• Ability to read precision gauges and measure parts accurately.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing industrial machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tooling and dies.

Responsibilities

• Assess damaged tooling and stamping dies to determine repair scope.
• Interpret blueprints to lay out work for tooling and fixtures.
• Oversee or independently build tooling and fixtures.
• Install and remove dies and tooling from machinery.
• Operate machine tools and perform routine maintenance.
