Job summary

Rex Lumber, Bristol, LLC, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Helper in a tires and machinery environment. The role involves supporting mechanics, performing preventive maintenance, and keeping equipment and shop areas clean and safe.

You will mount/demount tires, inspect and repair tires, remove and replace parts, lubricate machinery, and assist in equipment installation and adjustments. Must work well with others and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanic in daily duties and preventive maintenance.
• Clean equipment, machines and parts using solvents, cloths and tools.
• Mount/demount tires and inspect/repair tires.
• Remove parts for repair using hand tools, hoists, or crane.
• Install or replace equipment parts and assist in equipment moves.
• Lubricate components and apply adhesives as needed.
• Track time and parts using work orders and maintenance systems.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and follow safety rules.
• Under supervision, inspect damaged parts and reassemble machines after work.
• Start equipment and observe operation to detect issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
