Job summary

Clarium is seeking a Tech Lead to raise the bar on architecture, code quality, and technical execution. You will drive design decisions and stay deeply hands-on, shaping both roadmap and long-term health of the Astra OS codebase.

You will mentor engineers, partner with Product, and influence across distributed teams while avoiding people management responsibilities. This is a fully remote role with NYC co-working options.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with a track record in leading technical direction.
• Deep hands-on experience with Python, React, and TypeScript, shipping production code.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through example and review.
• Strong collaboration with product and business stakeholders to align roadmaps with technical plans.

Responsibilities

• Drive system design, architecture, and technical direction for your team's projects.
• Write production code and set the technical bar through hands-on contribution.
• Mentor engineers through code review, pairing, and technical guidance without formal management.
• Partner with Product to translate roadmap priorities into sound technical plans.
• Identify and resolve technical risk, tech debt, and cross-team dependencies.
• Establish and evolve engineering best practices, standards, and tooling.
