Job summary

Clarium, a healthcare tech company behind Astra OS, is scaling its platform across leading U.S. health systems and seeks a Tech Lead who will raise the bar on architecture, code quality, and technical execution while remaining deeply hands-on with the codebase.

You will partner with the Director of Engineering and Product to shape roadmaps, drive design decisions, and mentor teammates, all within a fully remote role with optional NYC coworking space and a strong equity package.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including leading technical direction
• Hands-on experience with Python, React, and TypeScript in production
• Track record of sound architecture and system design in fast-moving environments
• Experience mentoring engineers through code reviews and pairing
• Strong collaboration to align technical decisions with product and business goals
• Excellent written and verbal communication for explaining tradeoffs

Responsibilities

• Drive system design, architecture, and technical direction for your team's projects
• Write production code and set the technical bar through hands-on contribution
• Mentor engineers through code review, pairing, and technical guidance
• Partner with Product to translate roadmap priorities into sound technical plans
• Identify and resolve technical risk, tech debt, and cross-team dependencies
• Establish and evolve engineering best practices, standards, and tooling
