Job summary

Humcap, Inc. is seeking an experienced SMT Manufacturing Engineer to optimize SMT and electronic assembly processes, support new product introductions, troubleshoot production issues, and drive quality, efficiency and throughput on the factory floor.

In this hands-on role you will develop, document, and implement manufacturing processes, work closely with production, quality, purchasing, and customers, and take ownership from prototype through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• 3+ years hands-on SMT or electronics manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of SMT processes and equipment.
• Experience with DFM/DFT, SPC, and lean manufacturing.
• Ability to read schematics and manufacturing documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and improve SMT manufacturing processes.
• Optimize machine programs, line setups, feeders, and changeovers.
• Support solder paste printing, pick and place, reflow, AOI, and SPI.
• Establish process parameters to improve quality, yield, and throughput.
• Troubleshoot issues on the production floor and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with QA, purchasing, and customers to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Support NPI from prototype through production.
