Job summary

Foresight Group, located in Lansing, MI, is hiring for a Sign Production - Flatbed Printer. You will operate a Canon Arizona flatbed printer, assist with fabrication and assembly of signs, and work as part of a small, hands-on team to deliver quality graphics for our customers.

This role emphasizes practical shop skills, willingness to learn cutting software, and a strong eye for detail, with emphasis on safety and teamwork in a climate-controlled shop.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Flatbed printer, wide format digital printing, construction, or skilled trade experience preferred.
• The ability to perform basic shop math and read measuring equipment.
• Willingness to learn cutting software.
• A basic mechanical understanding and experience operating complex machinery.
• A strong ability to perform quality checks and ensure that the final products meet specifications.
• A positive and patient attitude.
• Must possess a valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment
• Motivated self-started, able to perform work duties & tasks with limited oversight

Responsibilities

• Read and understand written job instructions.
• Operate assigned production equipment according to processes and work instructions.
• Load materials and ensure proper tools are used.
• Prepare jobs by transferring supplies and substrates from inventory to work areas & equipment, and review files from network server prior to printing.
• Perform final pre-run inspection of job and approve with supervisor as needed.
• Operate the flatbed printing equipment in accordance with job orders.
• Assist in other Wide Format production tasks and hand finishing as workload permits.
• Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of the equipment.
• Inventory flatbed printing consumables and notify management when low.
• Maintain an orderly shop by stocking materials and cleaning.
• Monitor the machine during printing to ensure high quality output.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and perform routine checks on equipment.
• Adapt quickly to a dynamic work environment.
• Aid in other tasks as needed, including hand finishing of signage.
• Other duties as assigned.
