Job summary

IronLeaf Designs is a growing Charlotte, NC–based manufacturer seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead our fabrication team and own daily shop‑floor operations. This is a working leadership role, directing jobs from release through production, inspection, and shipment.

You will coordinate people, equipment, materials, and deadlines, stepping into manufacturing work when needed. We value accountability, problem solving, and safety as we scale our metal and plastic fabrication

Qualifications

• 5+ years in an industrial manufacturing or fabrication shop.
• Hands-on CNC experience: setup, operation, troubleshooting, workflows.
• Experience manufacturing with metal and plastic materials.
• 2+ years of managerial/supervisory experience leading teams.
• Ability to manage multiple fabrication jobs from start to finish with quality and deadlines.
• Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools.
• Knowledge of inventory control, material planning, quality inspection, and production documentation.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; willing to work on the shop floor daily.

Responsibilities

• Own daily operations of the manufacturing floor: staffing, assignments, priorities, machine utilization, and readiness.
• Lead CNC, laser, plasma, press brake, fabrication personnel; set expectations and address performance.
• Delegate work based on skills, capacity, materials, and delivery; follow up on completion.
• Run daily production reviews; remove bottlenecks and communicate risks to COO.
• Work hands-on to support setups, troubleshoot, and keep production moving.
• Oversee end-to-end job ownership from planning to shipping; ensure documents and specs are complete.
• Maintain production documentation and ISO 9001:2015 traceability.
• Coordinate inventory, materials, and equipment control; prevent shortages and scrap.
• Ensure maintenance, PPE, and safe practices; uphold quality inspection and packaging readiness.
