IronLeaf Designs in Charlotte, NC seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead our fabrication team and own daily shop-floor operations. This is a working leadership role, directing jobs from release through production, inspection, and shipment while coordinating people, equipment, materials, and deadlines.

The successful candidate will delegate effectively, hold the team accountable, solve real-time problems, and maintain a safe, organized operation reporting to the COO.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing or fabrication.
• Minimum 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience leading teams.
• Ability to read technical drawings, understand dimensions and tolerances, and use precision measuring tools.
• Experience manufacturing with both metal and plastic materials.
• Strong organization, communication, problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Responsabilités

• Own daily operations on the manufacturing floor, including staffing, work assignments, machine utilization, and job readiness.
• Lead, coach, train, and manage CNC routers, fiber laser, plasma, press brake, fabrication, and production personnel; set clear expectations and address performance.
• Delegate work based on skills, capacity, and delivery commitments; follow up to ensure completion.
• Run daily production reviews, remove bottlenecks, communicate risks and resource needs to the COO.
• Work hands-on with the team to support setups and maintenance to keep production moving.
• Oversee job from planning through material prep, fabrication, inspection, packaging and shipping handoff.
• Verify drawings, tooling and materials are ready; track status, rework and production issues.
• Own final quality inspection and packaging readiness; ensure traceability per ISO 9001:2015.
• Maintain production documentation and traceability.
• Oversee shop-floor inventory, material identification, storage and usage tracking.
