Job summary

Amazon Mechatronic Apprentice I, FSD1 - RME - Var is a hands-on program joining a fast-paced team to learn electronic, mechanical, computer and automation skills on high‑performance systems. You'll analyze, troubleshoot and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment with mentoring from senior technicians, while ensuring safety and high equipment availability.

You must relocate after the program, enroll in a 9‑week training at designated providers, and meet the Mechanical Aptitude Test

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 1+ years of PC software experience including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook experience.
• Vocational/technical training or an associate degree or above, or 1+ years of Amazon RME experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing operational items.
• Knowledge of mathematics.
• Experience measurement reading and interpretation.
• Work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative/predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment using the appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals.
• Conduct maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics and robotic work cells.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment components.
• Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachs, etc.
• Move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
