Job summary

Skyworks Solutions Cedar Rapids design center is seeking a Winter/Spring part-time RF Technician student to join our Mobile Solutions team. You will provide technician and engineering support, help with assembly, and assist with lab tasks supporting PAM and FEM module development for the cellular handset market.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, data analysis, and documentation in a fast-paced lab environment with a strong emphasis on collaboration and learning.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Electronics Technician degree with hands-on lab work.
• Onsite in Cedar Rapids, able to commit 20 hours per week January–May/June 2027.
• Basic bench-level troubleshooting with DVMs, oscilloscope and ohmmeter.
• Proficiency with hand tools (tweezers, soldering irons) and reading schematics.

Responsibilities

• Automated or semi-automated testing of parts and data post-processing.
• Schedule and screen DVT work requests for completeness and test program needs.
• Maintain thorough engineering notebooks and document test setups.
• Assist in design, construction, testing and troubleshooting of custom test solutions.
• Support a wide range of DVT tasks including device characterization and pre-production tests.
