Job summary

Arclin is seeking a Technical Assistant to support research and development activities at the Spruance Plant in Richmond, VA. The role focuses on process development, pilot operations, and data collection, collaborating with scientists, engineers, and technicians.

The candidate should be hands-on, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, with responsibilities ranging from running experiments to documenting results and assisting across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn new software and lab systems.
• Comfortable handling chemicals in lab and pilot plant environments.
• Able to wear PPE and lift up to 55 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform work safely and in compliance with all procedures.
• Conduct lab, pilot plant, and semiworks experiments.
• Prepare samples, collect data, document results, and communicate findings.
• Analyze experimental results, identify inconsistencies, and provide recommendations.
• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain lab and semiworks equipment.
• Assist scientists, engineers, and researchers in development programs.
• Maintain laboratory organization, chemical inventories, and equipment readiness.
• Support planning, scheduling, and coordination of lab activities and testing.
• Participate in technical discussions and cross-functional meetings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support innovation and process improvement.
