Job summary

Arclin is seeking a Technical Supervisor, Aramids Research in Richmond, VA to lead research facilities and maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring safe and compliant operations. You will oversee Technical Assistants, drive capital projects, and manage PSM programs while coordinating with engineering, maintenance, and construction teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in technical operations, strong leadership, and extensive SAP/Maintenance systems experience, with a focus on process safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant leadership experience.
• 5+ years of experience in research, manufacturing, engineering, or technical operations environments.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational, planning, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Experience working with maintenance, construction, and contractor organizations.
• Working knowledge of SAP or comparable maintenance management systems.
• Experience issuing work permits and coordinating operational work activities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to drive execution, solve complex problems, and deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Lead research facilities and semiworks operations to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant performance.
• Oversee safety inspections, environmental audits, and corrective action implementation.
• Manage research-area assets, equipment, and readiness; coordinate maintenance and installation activities.
• Deliver safety orientation and training for research personnel.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Technical Assistants supporting R&D operations.
• Plan workforce development, performance management, training, and scheduling.
