Job summary

Minimum 3–5 years of related experience and a high school diploma are required; forklift operation and familiarity with shop machinery are valued skills.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training in machining, metalworking, or related fields is a plus
• Experience: 3 - 5 years related experience and/or training
• Intermediate computer skills; ability to use Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Knowledge of inventory management and order entry systems, such as SyteLine and Factory Track
• Advanced knowledge of shop machinery and proper manufacturing techniques
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Mechanically inclined; ability to work with basic hand and power tools
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately to 1/16th of an inch
• Ability to add and subtract fractions
• Communicates well with others; asks for and offers help when needed
• Detail oriented; meets quality standards and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
• Organized; completes work in a timely manner; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Problem-solver; gathers and analyzes information skillfully and generates suggestions for improving work
• Capable of working independently and as a member of a team; contributes to building a positive team spirit
• Observes and follows safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production activities and monitor workflows; track production progress and report status updates to management
• Provide team members with work guidance and support for assigned tasks and procedures
• Perform hands-on manufacturing tasks to support daily production operations and goals
• Communicate with cross-functional departments, such as purchasing and engineering
• Operate a forklift to move products in/out of assigned work area as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace/shop
• Perform other tasks to support manufacturing and operations as needed
