Job summary

USP, a leading standards organization in Frederick, MD, seeks an Associate Production Laboratory Technician for Reference Standards Production. This hands-on, non-supervisory role involves operating production equipment, following batch records, and documenting sampling in the Oracle ERP system.

You will support inventory, handle materials safely, and develop mechanical and technical skills within a collaborative team. A physical science degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical science or 4 years related work experience.
• Academic training in microbiology with aseptic technique exposure.
• Must be able to use PPE and pass a pulmonary function test.

Responsibilities

• Produce USP Reference Standards and materials per batch records.
• Operate production equipment and document sampling in ERP.
• Assist with inventory and basic trouble shooting on the line.
• Follow safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety.
• Maintain accuracy in labeling, packaging, and quality checks.
